Open Knowledge is an independent IT training company specialising in Oracle Database Training.
Very few training companies outside of Oracle Corp. employ their own specialist Oracle trainers - we employ only Oracle specialists.
The Open Knowledge team consists of full-time trainers with exceptional experience and detailed technical knowledge of Oracle's database products.
All our trainers have at least 10 years practical Oracle experience and at least 5 years working at Oracle Corp.
Independent content
Although we employ ex-Oracle staff we are an independent training provider.
The content of our courses is developed without reference to partnership agreements, product sales, marketing pressures etc. As a result our courses provide clear unbiased technical training that focuses on real world solutions rather than an abstract tour of product features and marketing material.
We are not here to sell Oracle to you, still less to sell you additional licensed features. We are simply here to sell you top quality high-end technical training.
Training Approach
Each of our courses is designed first and foremost to equip delegates with the skills they need to perform in a given job role or technical area. Our instructors deliver the wealth of technical information from the whiteboard through the use of diagrams, explanations and live demonstrations. All our practical exercises are performed using the 'command line' interface allowing delegates to see and control what is going on 'under the bonnet'. This also allows us to closely monitor each delegates' understanding during the practical sessions. All the information conveyed during the course including the slides, the lecture material and the practical exercises are present in the course manuals for later reference.
